"These are delicious, I never knew there were such things."

"Yeah, they're my favorite. Oh! By the way, my brother wants to meet you some day."

"Your brother?"

Sonic nods, "He thinks I'd gone crazy after I told him what you are. He thinks I probably hit my head or something."

"well, you are kinda clumsy." He mutters as he finishes off the last of the chili dogs, getting a bit of the chili on the corner of his lips

Sonic sighs and slumps down on a stump, "Clumsy, not crazy, Eggman is crazy."

"perhaps..."

Sonic chuckles getting to his feet, "Well, you know the food tastes bast if you get it in your mouth." He gently reaches up an wipes the chili away with his thumb.

"Why are you being so kind to me? Even after I tried to eat you."

The young cobalt blushes and looks away before the naga has a chance to notice. "It's just in my nature."

"How strange...most people would never be so kind to a monster like me."

"Maybe that's because you scare them or eat them before you give them a chance" He licks the chili off his thumb.

"That could be a factor, I've never have anyone stand up to me like you did either."

"I've got a good reason to. Sides, I was more mesmerized of you then frightened." He blushes, sitting himself back down on the stump.

"You...were mesmerized? Why is that?"

He smiles like he's in a daze,"It was your eyes, they're just so mysterious and majestic." his eyes widen and his face turns a bright red. "S-sorry! I-I didn't mean to get weird on you there!"

"You...You think my eyes are majestic?" Shadow blushes slightly.

With his face almost as red as Shadow's stripes, Sonic rubs his arm as if he'd just received a shot and nods.

"Why, thank you."

"Y-you're welcome." he mutters in a barely noticeable whisper.

Shadow smiles softly "So, how many times do you plan on visiting me?"

"W-When ever you want me to I guess."

"Then come as much as you wish, it gets rather lonely out here."

The bright smile returns to Sonic's lips. "If that's what you want, but how about you tell me a bit about yourself."

"Not much to tell I suppose. My day's simply consist of sleeping, hunting and eating."

Sonic giggles, "Yeah, I got that much." He smiles, resting his chin in his hands, looking up at Shadow as if he's the most interesting person in the world.

"There's not much to tell about me, so lets here about you."

He blushes, "n-not much to say I guess, I like to run and I save people for a living."

"Oh right, you're a freedom fighter aren't you."

"Yeah."

"So you risk your life to save others," he chuckles. "We're the exact opposite."

Sonic giggles, "Yeah, pretty much"

"And you're fine with that?"

Sonic shrugs "You gotta eat don't you?"

"Yes, but what about all the humans and mobbians I've eaten so far."

Sonic's ears fold down, "...I've...Never really been a fan of death."

"Thought so," Shadow sighs "sometimes my instincts get the better of me. I believe so far in my life I've eaten 13 humans and 17 mobbians. Mostly I stick to wild animals, however if their around I take advantage of it."

"So...I'm the first to not get eaten?"

"Yes, you're the lucky one."

He sighs. "I don't feel very lucky..."
